Become a Net Controller!

Interested in helping us run the Graveyard Net?

Whether you're willing to be a substitute Net Controller or to commit to one morning a week, let us know! We'd love the help.

Talk to one of the Net Controllers.

Suggested Preamble for the Graveyard Net

  • CQ CQ calling the graveyard net. CQ CQ calling the graveyard net.
  • This net meets every day from 6 to 8 am on 3.967 MHz.
  • It’s an open and friendly net. All properly licensed operators are welcome.
  • Once you check in, you become a member, but after 5 check-ins on the honor system can get a Graveyard Net Certificate. Just send your name or QSL card to Walter (KC2TYS) in Kendall Park,
    New Jersey and he will issue you a graveyard certificate.
  • We use NetLogger to track the check-ins. You can download the program at www.netlogger.org
  • We have a website you can visit, graveyardnet.org. Drop by and check it out. It has lots of pictures, links and information of interest. If you want something posted send it to Jim (W2BAM).
  • We will have a thought of the day at approximately 7am, usually presented by Vernon, Jim, Paul, Elaine or Frank.
  • We do ask that members do not discuss politics or religion for obvious reasons.
  • My name is {name}, my call sign is {callsign}, and I will be your Net Controller today.
  • My QTH is {City, State}– My current WX is {temp, humidity, wind, Bar}
  • Today is {DAY, DATE}
  • (Volunteer) will you give us the The Pledge of Allegiance
  • Before we get started are there any other check-ins for the graveyard net?
  • Any mobiles or relays?
